Volunteer drivers needed to help elderly get to NHS appointments

STV News has been speaking to one woman who benefits from the lifeline service.

There are calls for more volunteer drivers in East Lothian and Fife to take elderly people to healthcare check-ups.

It comes as new research shows that almost half of non-drivers over 70 have missed medical appointments.

Experts say the journeys can also relieve feelings of isolation and stress.
