Volunteers plan to turn hidden Edinburgh bunker into arts and film hub

Once a WWII base and later a nuclear bunker, the Barnton site is now being transformed for creative use.

Volunteers behind the regeneration of a secret bunker buried in the hills near Edinburgh Zoo hope it can become a hub for music, performing arts and even be used as a film set in the future.

The Barnton structure, which was first used as a base during WWII and later as a nuclear hide-out, has already begun to diversify.
