Warning Brechin could become ‘ghost town’ after flooding

Ten months on and the scars from Storm Babet remain.

There’s a warning Brechin risks becoming a “ghost town unless significant investment is made.

The town’s community council said businesses are still suffering the fallout from Storm Babet last year, with some closing and others struggling to carry out repairs.

Members have written to the chief executive of Angus Council expressing concern, stating confidence needs to be restored.
