Urgent action is needed to improve Scottish children’s diets, or they risk putting their future health in jeopardy.
That’s the warning from experts after a survey found most children exceed maximum recommendations for energy density, while their diets often don’t have enough fibre and other essential nutrients.
The survey, commissioned by Food Standards Scotland, also found that those living in deprived areas generally had less healthy diets.
