Yousaf insists SNP can win back trust after finance scandal

A police probe continues after Peter Murrell was arrested and released without charge last week

The First Minister Humza Yousaf insists he can win back public trust and party unity by, “getting on with the day job,” despite revelations the Party’s auditors walked out 6 months ago, with no replacement yet found.

Scottish Labour Leader Anas Sarwar says it demonstrates a “culture of secrecy” with serious questions for the SNP to answer.

Last week, the party’s former chief executive Peter Murrell, who is Nicola Sturgeon’s husband, was arrested by police investigating the SNP’s finances.

He was later released without charge pending further investigation.
