Mother creates kindness campaign in memory of daughter

Jacque Smith wants the world to remember her 'sparky' daughter Leigh by spreading kindness.

Jacque Smith lost her 22-year-old daughter Leigh to suicide in 2012.

Determined to keep her ‘sparky’ daughter’s memory alive, she has launched LoveLeigh, a campaign to spread kindness and to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.

Pupils in Kilsyth have been helping Jacque, creating kindness cards which will be sent to schools across the UK, encouraging people to do kind acts.

Jacque said: “This is my way of turning something utterly tragic and really very, very painful into something that’s very positive.”
