Part of the A70 in South Lanarkshire has been closed after a two-vehicle crash.

Emergency services were called to the collision at Glespin between Douglas and Muirkirk around 2.20pm on Thursday.

It has not been confirmed whether there have been any casualties as a result of the crash.

Drivers have been warned to avoid the area and take an alternative route.
