Services on the Glasgow Subway were wiped out on Tuesday morning due to a power failure caused by ice.
SPT said that due to the power failure at the Subway depot caused by ice on the third rail, services were unable to run on both inner and outer circles after 7am.
The operator said it was unable to move trains into the system with no stations open.
The disruption comes amid yellow weather warnings for snow and ice coming into effect in Glasgow and the West on Tuesday.
After midday, services began running again but only on the Outer Circle.
A statement read: “Our sincere apologies for the delay to service running and inconvenience caused.
“Will update when services on Inner resume.”
