Police are appealing for help to identify a man who died more than a month ago in Glasgow after being found unresponsive in the street.
Police on patrol were notified of a man found unresponsive on Nelson Street in the Tradeston area of the city around 6pm on Friday, May 8.
He was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary but later died in the early hours of Saturday, May 9.
Enquiries have been ongoing to identify the man in order to inform his next of kin. However, police say they have been unsuccessful so far.
The man is described as white, aged between 40 and 50 years old, around 5ft 7in in height and around 60kg in weight. He had short brown/grey hair and a red/grey beard.
He also had facial scars: a 5cm scar from his right eye to his forehead; a 3.5cm scar at his left eyebrow; and a 3cm scar to the bridge of his nose.
He was wearing a green Adidas tracksuit top with white stripes down both arms, dark trousers and dark trainers. He was also in possession of a grey camouflage coloured sleeping bag waterproof cover.
Detective Constable Alasdair Hood said: “This is a tragic situation and despite a substantial effort by officers, we unfortunately still don’t have an identity.
“We are doing all we can to establish who this man is in order to inform his next of kin. We know this may be someone’s loved one who could be missing their dad, son or brother.
“If anyone has information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please get in touch with us.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting reference 2919 of May 8, 2026.
