Man arrested after injured 22-year-old dies in flat

A man has been arrested after a 22-year-old died at a flat in South Ayrshire.

Police were called to a the property in Troon’s Ramsay Court, at Scott Crescent, at around 11.40pm on Saturday after receiving reports of a man being seriously injured.

A 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers confirmed that a 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing at this time.

Detective Inspector Andrea Templeton said: “Around 11.40pm on Saturday, July 6, 2024, officers were called to a report of a man seriously injured within a property in Ramsay Court, Scott Crescent, Troon.

“Emergency services attended and a 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death and enquiries are ongoing.”
