Drivers are being urged to “avoid the area” in Argyll and Bute after a crash involving a car and motorbike.
Police are said to be on the scene of the collision in Oban with Dunollie Road closed between Deanery Brae and Croft Road after 5.35pm on Thursday.
Officers remain at the scene and motorists are being asked to find alternative routes.
A Traffic Scotland post read: “The A85 is closed to all traffic, at Dunollie Road, Oban, due to a road traffic incident.
“Road users are advised to use an alternative route and expect longer than normal journey times.”
The Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
