Defence contractors BAE Systems are looking to hire 400 skilled tradespeople for work in two Glasgow shipyards.
The recruitment drive is required as part of the company’s £3.7bn contract to deliver the first batch of three Type 26 frigates for the Royal Navy.
A range of different job roles are available in shipyards on the River Clyde in Govan and Scotstoun.
These include: fabricator-platers, welders, pipefitters, mechanical fitters, electricians, joiners, sheet metal workers, painters and ancillaries.
The company’s job listing states: “For generations, we’ve been making history on the Clyde in Glasgow. Now you have the opportunity to help us write the next chapter.
“We have exciting roles for more than 400 skilled trades to help us build the Type 26 frigates for the Royal Navy. These will provide security for our country and allies for decades to come.
“Building such a complex ship requires exceptional skilled trade labour.”
The closing day for application is Saturday, April 2.
