The bout to crown Scotland’s inaugural bare-knuckle boxing heavyweight champion was cancelled on Saturday after a disturbance broke out at the venue.
Scottish promoters, Impact BKB, organised the event at East Kilbride’s Gladiators Arena, where 11 fights were due to take place.
The main event between Jay McFarlane vs Kaseem Saleem would see the promotion’s first heavyweight champion crowned.
However, prior to the co-main event between Jordan Grant and Matt Hodgson, the event was brought to a halt due to a large-scale disturbance at the venue.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Stewartfield Way at around 9.30pm. There were no reported injuries.
Footage circulating online, seen by STV News, shows two groups dressed in black clashing at the top of the stairs in the venue’s concourse.
One individual falls to the floor and appears to be punched and kicked by a group of men.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.30pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025, we received a report of a disturbance at a premises on Stewartfield Way, East Kilbride.
