A man has died following a crash involving a BMW in Irvine.
The incident occurred at around 5.30pm on Saturdayon the B769 near Cunninghamhead.
Emergency services rushed to the scene following the crash, however the 24-year-old driver of the blue BMW 530 was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for crash investigation work to be carried out but has since reopened.
Sergeant Scott Gourlay said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“Anyone who saw what happened or who has dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation is asked to get in touch.”
