A body has been found amid the search for a missing man in East Ayrshire.
Abilio Miguel Caixeiro Da Silva was reported missing from the village of Hurlford on Wednesday.
Officers have since confirmed that a body has been found during the search for the 52-year-old.
The remains are yet to be identified, but Mr Da Silva’s family have been informed.
Detectives are not treating the death as suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The body of a man has been found during searches for a missing man in Hurlford.
“He is yet to be formally identified, however, the family of 52-year-old Abilio Miguel Caixeiro Da Silva, who was reported missing on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, has been informed.
“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
