Police ScotlandA body has been recovered from a river in Dumfries and Galloway during a search for a missing man.
Emergency services were called to the River Esk, south of Skippers Bridge, in the Langholm area on Tuesday at around 3.30pm where the discovery was made.
The body is yet to be formally identified, however, the family of Gary McMorran has been informed.
The 63-year-old was last seen in the Wauchope Street area of the town on Saturday afternoon.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death.
