A body has been recovered from a river in the search for a man missing for ten days.
Police confirmed a body had been found in the River Leven in Alexandria during the afternoon of Monday, March 7.
Formal identification is yet to take place but the family of George Walker, 36, from Dumbarton, have been informed.
Officers said there were no apparent suspicious circumstances.
Mr Walker was last seen walking in the direction of West Bridgend in Dumbarton at around 11.50pm on Friday, February 25.
A Police Scotland statement said: “The body of a man was found in the River Leven in Alexandria during the afternoon of Monday, March 7.
“He has not yet been formally identified. However, the family of George Walker, 36, from Dumbarton who had previously been reported missing has been informed.
“There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
