Police ScotlandA body has been found during searches for a man reported missing from South Ayrshire overnight.
John Doherty was last seen in the Sanquhar Farm Road area of Ayr around 3pm on Wednesday.
Police confirmed that the body of a man was discovered on Thursday, and the 60-year-old’s family has been informed.
A spokesperson said: “There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
