A body has been found during the search for a missing man last seen just under three months ago.
Paul Connolly, from the Isle of Bute, was reported missing in November.
Police have now confirmed that a man’s body was found near Kingarth on the island at around 11.50am on Sunday.
The 45-year-old’s family have been made aware of the discovery.
A police spokesman said: “Formal identification is yet to take place and enquires into the circumstances of the death are ongoing.”
