Police ScotlandA body has been found in the search for a woman who has been missing for a week.
Lisa Wotherspoon was reported missing from Motherwell on Friday, September 29.
The 37-year-old was last scene in her hometown in the Vulcan Street area at around 6am.
Her family said she was a type 1 diabetic and needed access to insulin.
Shortly after 4pm on Friday, police confirmed officers had found the body of a woman near to Riverside Walk in Motherwell.
They said Ms Wotherspoon’s family had been informed.
“There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal,” a Police Scotland spokesperson said.
