Police ScotlandA body has been found in a wooded area in Irvine amid an ongoing search for a missing man.
Emergency services were called to the Bourtreehill area around 9.45am on Thursday following the discovery.
Police have confirmed the body of a man was found and said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
Formal identification has yet to take place, however, it is believed to be Neil Hanvey, who was reported missing from his home in Irvine
Police Scotland said it is liaising with the 43-year-old’s family.
A report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.
