Police are investigating the “unexplained” death of an elderly woman found at a property in Glasgow.
Officers were called to an address on Earl Street in the Scotstoun area of the city around 1.45pm on Friday.
The body of a 76-year-old woman was discovered at the property and an investigation has now been launched into the “unexplained” death.
Police said the woman’s next of kin have been made aware and there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.45pm on Friday, January 19, 2023, police were called to a property in the Earl Street area of Glasgow, following the sudden death of a 76-year-old woman.
The death is being treated as unexplained pending further enquiries, but there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
“Next of kin have been made aware.”
