Google MapsA body has been recovered from a river in West Dunbartonshire after a woman was spotted entering the water.
A multi-agency search was launched on Friday evening following reports a woman entered the River Leven in Dumbarton around 9pm.
The search was stood down on Friday night and resumed on Saturday.
Police confirmed the body of a 47-year-old woman was recovered from the water around 3.20pm on Saturday.
She has been formally identified and her next of kin is aware.
Her death is being treated as unexplained, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
