Body recovered from water near harbour

A body has been recovered from the water near a harbour in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called to Lower Granton Road around 12.20pm on Saturday following reports of a body in the water.

Police, Coastguard, firefighters and ambulance crews have been pictured on the scene.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.20pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026, we received a report of a body in water at Lower Granton Road, Edinburgh. Enquiries are ongoing.”
