Body recovered near bus stop after two-day search for missing man

A body has been found near a bus stop in the search for a missing man in North Ayrshire.

Police say a man’s body was discovered on the A78, in Fairlie, at around 10.40am on Thursday.

It comes after officers launched a hunt for keen walker Kenneth Logan who was reported missing at around 2pm on Tuesday.

Formal identification has yet to take place but the 59-year-old’s family have been informed, police said.

There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
