A boy was knocked down by a vehicle on a road in East Ayrshire on Thursday.
Emergency services were called to Kilmaurs Road in Kilmarnock following reports of the incident at around 3.05pm.
The eight-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital as a precaution following the crash.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.05pm on Thursday, August 21, 2025, officers received a report of a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Kilmaurs Road, Kilmarnock.
“The pedestrian, an eight-year-old boy, was taken to hospital as a precaution.”
