A six-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being knocked down in an alleged hit and run near Ibrox while the area was busy with football fans.
The schoolboy was crossing Dumbreck Road at around 10.05pm on Wednesday and was hit by a car which had turned left from Paisley Road West.
The incident happened shortly after full time in Rangers’ Scottish Premiership game against Ross County.
The driver of the vehicle did not stop and the boy was taken to hospital for treat minor injuries after being looked over by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Police said the car involved was a mid-sized dark coloured hatchback.
A Police Scotland statement said: “The area was busy at the time with people on foot and vehicles following the nearby football fixture and anyone who saw what happened, or has information about the car involved, should report this to police as soon as possible.
“Those with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 2367 of 14 February 2024.
“Information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
