A schoolgirl was pushed in front of a moving bus and humiliated as fellow pupils filmed themselves pouring drink over her head during a six-month campaign of bullying in Renfrewshire.
The teenager, who can’t be named, was targeted with the violent abuse at a high school in Paisley.
In one incident she was dragged along the ground by her hair before being pushed in front of a moving bus.
In another a fellow pupil threatened to “crack her skull open” during class leading to one of the girl’s teachers offering to give her a lift home out of fear for her safety.
She was further humiliated when several of the assaults were recorded and posted on to social media sites such as SnapChat.
The victim’s mum, who has also asked to remain anonymous, has told of her heartache at watching the abuse unfold.
She said: “My daughter is absolutely heartbroken she is not at school.
“This has been absolutely horrific for us and it is putting my family under financial strain as I have had to give up my job.
“I resigned in November as my daughter has been constantly off school and my husband is now working two jobs at 74 hours a week.
“I feel totally unsupported and helpless.
“I am hoping me doing this will lead to other parents coming forward as I cannot be the only one facing this.”
A boy and girl have both been charged in connection with assaults at the school last November.
