East Dunbartonshire Council is to proceed with a public consultation as it considers altering restrictions affecting the biggest roundabout in the local authority area.
The change would affect parking provision on the north side of Canniesburn Toll Roundabout, which is south of Bearsden Town Centre and forms the junction for four main roads.
Current regulations designate the disabled parking bay as the first parking space of a row of five at the location, but this was moved to the central position due to construction work at the roundabout.
The proposed update would amend traffic regulations to make this change permanent, with a report on the proposals stating that the new position is more optimal and accessible.
The council has already consulted with its statutory partners and received no objections, so council officers will now gather public opinions and provide a report to a future committee meeting.
