STV NewsA 34-year-old man has been charged with an incident in Cambuslang after the assault of two women.
Police received a report of two females aged 16 and 41 having been assaulted in a flat in the town’s Mill Road at around 4.05pm on Thursday January 16.
Fire crews were sent to the scene at around 5.13pm when a blaze broke out at a property.
Both women were taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment and later released.
The man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday January 20 2025.
Detective Inspector Gary Smillie said: “I would again like to extend my thanks to nearby residents who were impacted by this incident for their patience and cooperation and the other emergency services for their support.”
