Two vehicles have been “deliberately” set ablaze in a late night fire raising in Coatbridge.
Officers were alerted to reports of a van and a car on fire around midnight on Tuesday.
Emergency services attended the scenes on Chatton Walk and the fires were extinguished.
Police confirmed the fires are being treated as “wilful”.
An appeal has been launched asking anyone with information regarding the incidents to come forward.
Detective constable Billy Murray said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have information to contact us.
“We also ask anyone with private CCTV of the area at the time to come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0006 of Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
