Car balances precariously after careering into canal

A car has been taped off by police after going over the side of a canal in Glasgow.

Officers were made aware of the vehicle that had rolled into the canal off Pinkston Road in Glasgow on Tuesday evening.

The Kia appears to have rolled towards the water and has been left tipping over the edge of the canal wall. The front of the car can be seen touching the water while it balances at an angle.

The nature of the incident has not been confirmed.

No drivers or passengers can be seen in the vehicle.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We were made aware of a car which had rolled into water off Pinkston Road in Glasgow around 6.50pm on Tuesday, February 6.

“The owner was arranging recovery.”
