Neighbours have described the moment a car crashed into the front of a house in Bishopbriggs as “like a bomb going off”.
Emergency services were called around 6.10am on Tuesday to reports of a car striking a property on Auchinairn Road.
Images from the scene showed a white Toyota car having crashed into brickwork at the front of a property.
James ChapelardShane McKeown and his mum Angela, who live next door, say they heard a “big bang” early this morning.
Shane, 17, said: “It was a big thud. I thought, ‘What was that?’ I got up and noticed the police were here.
“The next-door neighbours were quite shocked.
Mum Angela, 45, said: “It felt like a bomb going off. Like a gas leak. Luckily, everyone has had a lucky escape.
“The driver appeared to walk off unharmed.”
James ChapelardPolice confirmed no serious injuries were reported and that enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.10am on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, we received a report of a car striking a property on Auchinairn Road, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended, and no serious injuries were reported.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
