CCTV appeal following disorder at Celtic title celebrations

Police Scotland has released 28 images of people they are looking to trace as part of their investigation into violence and disorder in Glasgow after Celtic’s title win earlier this year.

A number of arrests were made at Parkhead and Trongate in relation to disorder during and after the club’s Premiership title win on Saturday, May 16.

They relate to a number of offences including mobbing and rioting, resisting arrest, police assault and possession of offensive weapons. Officers also seized pyrotechnics and alcohol at both locations.

During the disorder, two officers were seriously injured, and three members of the public required hospital treatment.

Significant investigations remain ongoing into violence and anti-social behaviour within the Trongate area.

Anyone depicted in the images released has been asked to contact the police.

Chief superintendent Emma Croft, divisional commander for Greater Glasgow, said: “Significant enquiries remain ongoing into this disorder which impacted communities, businesses, police officers and supporters.

“I would urge the people in these images, or anyone who believes they may recognise them, to contact us.
