A CCTV image has been released after a man was verbally abused and spat on at a North Ayrshire beach.
A hate crime probe was launched after the 42-year-old man was mistreated at Irvine Beach Park at around 2pm on June 10.
Officers believe the woman seen in the CCTV image can assist with their enquiries.
Police ScotlandShe has been described as white, with blonde hair. Authorities added that she usually wears clear-rimmed glasses and was wearing light blue shorts, a bikini top and black trainers.
If anyone recognises the woman in the image, please contact officers at Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2361 of June 10.
