Celtic midfielder Ismaila Soro missed training after crashing his car in the snow.

Manager Neil Lennon said the Ivorian will be assessed after the crash on his way to the session in Lennoxtown on Tuesday morning.

Most of Scotland has been affected by heavy snow and plunging temperatures on Tuesday.

The team have a Scottish Premiership game against St Mirren on Wednesday night, but Lennon said that despite the 22-year-old missing most of the training session, he should be fine for the trip to Paisley.

He said: “Soro had a prang in his car this morning due to the adverse weather conditions.

“He looks OK. So we are just checking on him, making sure he is alright. He missed a large part of the session.”

At a pre-match press conference, the Celtic boss confirmed that Ryan Christie is fit after missing the match against Motherwell at the weekend, and Shane Duffy was back at training today despite having a bug.

Lennon also said James Forrest is back in training but Wednesday’s match will be too soon for him.

“Apart from that James Forrest is back in training but obviously tomorrow night is too soon for him. So that’s a welcome boost to the squad.

“Shane Duffy had a bit of a bug in the last couple of days but trained today so he should be available for selection. Ryan Christie is fit and back in the squad as well.”
