A section of the Clydeside Expressway is to be closed overnight after a manhole collapsed.

The road has been closed to all traffic on the eastbound nearside lane on the Finnieston Street Flyover.

Drivers are being warned off potential delays to their journey and to consider alternative routes.

This closure will remain until 7am on Friday with no diversions in place.

A spokesperson for Glasgow City Council said: “Due to a collapsed manhole cover, the eastbound nearside lane on the A814/Clydeside Expressway (Finnieston Street Flyover) is closed to all traffic.

“The closure will be in effect from now until Friday 7am on October 10, 2025.

“Drivers are advised to anticipate potential delays during their journeys.”
