Concerns are growing for a missing man from North Ayrshire who has access to a car and camping gear.

Brian Kennedy was last seen by his neighbours around 7pm on Sunday in Irvine.

The 47-year-old is described as white Scottish, around 5’7, balding, with facial hair.

Mr Kennedy was last seen wearing a black skip cap, a yellow Brazil T-Shirt with the Brazil logo on chest area, black Adidas tracksuit with red, green and yellow stripes and grey Nike trainers.

The force said he has access to a car carrying the registration SB58 MMO.

Police added that Mr Kennedy may also be in possession of a blue, orange and grey fishing rucksack as well as camping gear.

Anyone with information has been urged to come forward.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Extensive enquiries are underway which have so far revealed that Brian may have been in the Troon area in the early hours of Monday, September 16, 2024.

“If anyone has seen Brian or has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts, please call officers at Irvine Police office on the police non-emergency number, 101. Reference 0326 of 16/09/2024.”
