An urgent appeal has been launched to trace a man reported missing from a hospital in Renfrewshire.
Richard McCaughey was reported missing at 6.50am on Tuesday from the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley.
The 48-year-old is described around 5ft10, slim build, short dark coloured hair, fair complexion, wearing khaki jacket with a blue jumper underneath, blue bottoms and dark trainers.
Police said Mr McCaughey was last seen at around 7.30am near to Broomlands and George Street, Paisley.
Extensive enquiries are underway to trace the missing man and confirm his wellbeing.
The force is urging anyone with information to come forward.
Sergeant Ryan Jardine said: “Concerns are growing for Richard McCaughey and I am asking anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is to get in touch”.
