Fire crews battled for more than 16 hours to tackle two fires over hills in West Dunbartonshire.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) was alerted to a fire at 2.53pm on Thursday in the open at the Kilpatrick Hills, near Milton Brae in Dumbarton.
Four fire trucks were mobilised and firefighters extinguished two fires affecting the area by 7.19am on Friday.
Sean BattyIt comes after a wildfire warning was issued earlier this week, with concerns that surface fires could burn and spread with “high intensity”.
No injuries were reported.
An SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 2.53pm on Thursday, August 11 to reports of a fire in the open at the Kilpatrick Hills, near Milton Brae, Dumbarton.
Sean Batty“Operations Control mobilised four fire appliances and firefighters extinguished two fires affecting the area.
“There were no reported casualties and crews left at 7.19am on Friday, August 12 after ensuring the area was made safe.”
