A cyclist who died five days after being hit by a car in Eaglesham has been named.

David Lang was rushed to hospital after being knocked down on Polnoon Street around 10am on January 16.

The 74-year-old from Eaglesham passed away on January 21.

Police are continuing their investigations into the circumstances of the crash and have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

Sergeant Chris McColm from Road Policing, said: “Our thoughts remain with David’s family and our enquiries are ongoing as we work to establish the full circumstances of the collision.”
