A 57-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after being struck by a car in Glasgow's Hyndland.

A cyclist is in critical condition in hospital after being hit by a car in Glasgow’s West End.

The 57-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the crash involving a silver Vauxhall Zafira at the junction with Westbourne Road on Hyndland Road around 4.20pm on Monday.

The road was closed between Hughenden Road and Great Western Road for around four hours while enquiries were carried out.

Police are appealing for anyone with any CCTV footage to come forward.

Sergeant Jack Swindells said: “We are continuing with our enquiries to establish the full circumstances and would like to speak to anyone with information that could help.

“If you have dash-cam or private CCTV footage that could assist then please make contact with officers.”

Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2131 of Monday, December 30, 2024.
