Getty ImagesA dog walker has been charged following an altercation with a female horse ride in North Ayrshire.
Officers were alerted to the incident in Irvine on Wednesday involving a male dog owner and a woman on a horse.
The 54-year-old man has been arrested, charged and cautioned following the incident.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “On Wednesday, March 5, police received a report of an altercation in Irvine involving a female horse rider and a male dog owner.
“Following enquiries by our Locality Policing Team, one male, 54, has now been arrested, cautioned and charged.”
