Teenage boy taken to hospital after serious assault

Police are looking to speak to two e-bike riders after a teenage boy was seriously assaulted in South Lanarkshire.

The 17-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment after the incident on Scalloway Road in Cambuslang around 9.20pm on Saturday.

Police say enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances but officers are keen to speak to two male youths seen at the time on an e-bike.

The rider of the bike was wearing a black top, black bottoms and black trainers. The other youth was wearing a black top, black bottoms and white Nike trainers.

Detective Constable Stephanie Tierney said: “We are asking anyone in the area at the time of this assault to get in touch if they saw something that could help with our investigation.

“We are also asking the youths on the electric bike to make contact with us as they could have information that might assist.”
