Eight people have been charged and four people were taken to hospital following a disturbance at a shopping centre on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to Glasgow’s St Enoch Centre at around 6.15pm after reports of an incident.

Four people were taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.

Officers have charged six men, aged 31, 33, 34, 36, 37 and 41, and two women, aged 40 and 43, in connection with the disturbance.

They are all due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.15pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025, we were called to reports of a disturbance at a premises on St Enoch Square in Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and four people were taken to hospital for treatment before being discharged.

“Six men, aged 31, 33, 34, 36, 37 and 41, and two women, aged 40 and 43, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident. They’re due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.”
