An elderly man has died in hospital following a one-car crash in Clydebank.
Emergency services were called to the collision involving a black Ford Puma on Great Western Road at around 12pm on Thursday.
The driver of the car, an 85-year-old man, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The road was closed after the incident and reopened around 4pm.
Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage.
Sergeant Neal Galbraith said: “Our thoughts are with the family of friends of the man who has died at this difficult time.
“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time with dash-cam footage to come forward.”
