An emaciated dog has been handed into a local vet after being found wandering near a farm in Ayrshire.
A member of the public discovered the medium bulldog crossbreed before taking her to Vets Now in Kilmarnock on June 26.
The dog, described as emaciated, was collected by a Scottish SPCA inspector and taken to the charity’s Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming centre for treatment and care.
Her microchip details are out of date, and the organisation is now appealing for more information to find out where she came from so they can try to speak to her owner.
SSPCAA Scottish SPCA Inspector said: “The dog is in a very poor state, and she is very skinny.
“We would like to know how a young dog with no obvious underlying conditions could look like this.”
