iStockEmergency services were called to an East Ayrshire home following the sudden unexplained death of a man.
Police were called to the Covenanters Court area of Newmilns at around 3.15pm on Thursday.
Detectives are treating the death as unexplained; however it is not believed to be suspicious.
A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal
An investigation is ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.15pm on Thursday, September 10, 2026, police received a report of the sudden death of a man in the Covenanters Court area of Newmilns.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
“Enquiries remain ongoing, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
