Emergency services were called to a home in Glasgow following reports of a lithium battery overheating.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the incident at around 10.50am on Friday within a property on Summertown Road.
Two fire engines and a specialist vehicle were sent to the scene. No one was injured during the incident and the affected battery was removed and cooled.
Fire crews have left the area after ensuring it was made safe.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 10.50am on Friday, December 12 to reports of a lithium battery that had overheated within a property on Summertown Road in Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and a specialist resource to the scene as a precaution.
“There were no casualties, and the battery was removed from the property and cooled.
“The crews have now left the area after ensuring it was safe.”
