Extensive search launched as 'concern for welfare' of missing Campbeltown woman grows

An extensive search has been launched for a missing woman last seen in Argyll and Bute.

Eilidh Bell was last seen around 1am on Friday in the Meadowburn Place area of Campbeltown.

The 25-year-old was wearing an orange and black zebra stripe top and blue jeans at the time of his disappearance.

She is described as 5ft 4in tall, slim build, with long brown hair and brown eyes.

Inspector Gavin McDevitt said: “It is unusual for Eilidh not to be in contact with family or friends and concerns are growing for her welfare.

“Extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace her and ensure she is safe and well.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen Eilidh since the early hours of Friday morning, or may know where she is to contact us.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 2351 of Sunday, August 30, 2026.”
